OUR VISION

UFLYVI was born out of the desire to offer great flight instruction in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world.  Each year St Thomas, VI is among the most popular places to visit in the Caribbean.  This tropical wonderland boasts jaw-dropping hilltop views, hidden coves protecting sugary white beaches and crystal-clear waters that call like a siren to snorkelers, divers, and boaters.  UFLYVI offers the best flight instruction on the island along with other flight services like flight tours, maintenance, management and aircraft rental. 

  

The airline industry is facing a significant pilot shortage, with reports indicating that 637,000 new commercial airline pilots will be needed worldwide by 2036.  UFLYVI is addressing this shortage by offering several flight instruction packages and ratings.  Whether your a pilot who only needs their instrument rating or someone who is starting fresh, UFLYVI has a solution.  Our innovative, cutting-edge program provides our students with the skills they need to succeed as a pilot.  Graduates will be joining a company that cares deeply about its Associates as well as local and global communities.

CEO- MATTHEW STEWART

Chief Executive Officer Matthew Stewart leads UFLY VI and is also a certified flight instructor (CFI) licensed under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  A former Cape Air and Tropic Ocean Airways pilot with more than 10,000 flight hours, he is extensively familiar with the Caribbean region. His experience also includes four years flying seaplanes between the U.S. and the British Virgin Islands. Captain Stewart also works with Republic Airlines as the first officer of Embraer aircraft, flying routes that span from Canada to South America, including Mexico and Central America.

Previously he worked with Ft. Lauderdale-based FXE FC as the lead flight instructor. Captain Stewart earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from the prestigious Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
